Each authorized person must not have more than three (3) authorizations in the system. The authorized person is required to have a job card proving his work for the commercial establishment, in case she/he is not an Emirati.
There are two types of authorization:
• Personal authorization (a service fee of AED 100 must be paid)
• Court authorization (no fee is required)
The deposit is refundable while the bank guarantee is non-refundable except after canceling the license.

The original copy of a license is available on the electronic account of the license representatives (owner, partner, manager, or service agent). They can access their account, which is linked to RAK Business Platform, by using the digital ID (UAE PASS), where they can print the license at any time and without any fees.
Yes, for a fee of 100 ِAED
Violations could be viewed by logging into RAK Business Platform using the digital ID (UAE PASS) by one of the license representatives (owner, partner, manager, or service agent). The violations will appear on the main page classified according to the type of violation and the total value.
The trade name only is reserved in the Department of Economic Development. All the other procedures related to the license are completed in the Tourism Development Authority. You can contact the authority via the following contact number: 07-2338998
Security clearances could be obtained through any transaction clearing or typing office in Ras Al Khaimah that provides this service. The office must be provided with a trade name reservation certificate.
You can pay via e-dirham or ATM card only. A fee of AED 0.5 + 1.40% of the total amount payable will be charged when using an ATM card. AED 4 will be deducted when charging the e-dirham card and AED 3 upon completing the payment process.
E-dirham cards are available at Tasheel centers in the UAE, the financial limit of which does not exceed AED 3,000.
For higher financial limit, e-dirham cards shall be provided by one of the following banks:
- Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank
- First Abu Dhabi Bank
- Commercial Bank of Dubai
No, site inspection has become non-mandatory. Upon submitting the request, all the conditions that must be met at the license headquarters will appear on the terms and conditions page in accordance with the requirements of the RAK-DED Commercial Control Section. However, the service is available upon the customer’s request at a fee of AED 150 for normal request and AED 350 for urgent one.

6. After the authorization is approved, enter the business license modification service and change the representativeness according to the court decision.
7. Sign electronically by entering the verification code sent to all partners in the license. In general, the Arabic name is AED 200, and the foreign name AED 2000.
Yes, it may be retained for two renewable months.
1. Non-duplication of a trade name.
2. Trade names must be free of political connotations.
3. Trade names must not be against Islamic law, customs and traditions - and not to include any of the names or attributes of Allah the Almighty (compound names such as Abdul Rahman or Abdullah are excluded)
4. Trade names must not be against the instructions and regulations in force federally and locally.
5. Trade names must correspond to reality, and not to be misleading.
6. Trade names are preferred to be Arabic and be indicative of the activity.
7. RAK-DED has the right to reject the proposed trade name upon submitting the application or to change it in case it does not comply with the above-mentioned conditions or if deemed necessary.
8. A trade name is reserved for two renewable months after paying the due fees.
9. It is strictly forbidden to write the trade name on the flag of the UAE or any other country, or write any symbol with a political or sacred/religious connotation. People not adhering to these conditions shall be held accountable.

Trade name reservation is extended for a maximum of 6 months (total reservation period). The first time, it is extended two months for a fee of AED 200, and the second time two additional months for a fee of AED 200. It can be extended for a period of 4 months in one payment for a fee of AED 400, provided that the trade name is extended before the expiration date of the trade name reserved.
Activities are classified into groups of activities. Each group contains a certain number of activities that are consistent with each other and that can be added in one license.

AL-Ghad License is a household license issued to UAE citizens over 18 year-old of Ras Al Khaimah residents. The license holder can engage in a business from home, but he/she must not have any previous business license as the AL-Ghad License should be his/her first project. Recruitment is not allowed by this license.

The virtual trader license is granted to engage in all commercial projects that are managed through social networking sites, websites and smart applications by the UAE and GCC citizens of Ras Al Khaimah residents to conduct their business from home

• The facility being complained against must be licensed by the Department of Economic Development in Ras Al Khaimah.
• The one complained about must not be a government body, if so the complaint must be submitted to the government body itself.

5. Submit the application which will be received by the Commercial Protection Section of the Department of Economic Development (the Department has the right to accept or reject the submitted complaint).
6. The Commercial Protection Section shall contact the two parties to consider the subject of the complaint or summon the parties.
